Joe is an Experienced and Respected Leader
Who Will Work for YOU!
Help Joe Build A Better Kona
A Voice of Reason for Hawaii
County Council
Positive Community Leadership
Joe served on the Council for District
7 from 1996 to 1998 and again from 2002 to 2004. In both terms, he got
things done by working cooperatively with the Administration, Staff and
fellow Council Members. Kona and District 8 will benefit from his leadership
now! As a hard working member of our community who participated in many
organizations and events, Joe has earned the reputation as one who cares
about Kona and the people of the Big Island.
This is a time when
experience will be most important
as we will have a new Mayor and new Councilmen. The way we begin
working together as reorganization occurs will determine whether we shall
attain the positive results we need. This is especially important in
infrastructure and sound fiscal planning.
Joe wants to be your conduit
as the elected Councilmember to District 8, to work with the other eight on
the Council and the new Mayor to prioritize the needs of each district,
along with the entire island, and make plans realities with a commitment to
funding and implementation.
The following are Joe's positions for the 2008-10
term:
- Building of needed roads in Kona
particularly
bypasses and mauka-makai connectors
- Challenging energy providers
to move ahead with alternate forms of energy production, and
